VRV/VRF systems are similar to the mini-split systems which connects one outdoor unit to several indoor units. However, min-split systems turn off/on completely and can be universally placed, whereas VRV/VRF systems continually adjust the temperature and power to each individual indoor unit and each system is specifically designed to each individual home. These systems are a type of multi-zone ductless systems. VRV/VRF systems are very energy efficient, and they can be used to heat one zone while cooling a different zone at the same time.
